Do you know how to make pots, but want to learn how to fire them? Students gain hands-on experience with loading, firing, unloading, and troubleshooting the gas updraft kiln. Each class period will include a firing-related topic. Students may participate in all aspects of the firing. A great refresher for students who have taken the updraft kiln class in the past or who want support while they fire the kiln independently. Students new to the updraft kiln may complete the prerequisites for independently firing the kiln if they participate in all aspects of the firing. Dates for the class firing will be determined during the first class. Please bring a three ring binder or folder for organizing notes, handouts, and class materials. Maximum 7.
